It doesn't even look like the same frame huh! I haven't decided what to do with it yet, maybe I will give it to good will or something, Maybe I will frame something in it... probly not that one. :) It's nice huh! You suppose I could sell it? Maybe huh! Anyway, I have completed a task! Yay!
Now I want to make an apron, or maybe I want to make a quilt and sell it... hmm, I like that!
Ok, so I had to dig back to remember what you said about this originally:
ReplyDelete"This is one I want to start, I have this old, ugly frame. It is from probably 20 years ago or more, it belonged to my great grandma. The frame in itself has absolutely no sentimental value, so, I was just thinking I would throw it away, or try to give it away, but here is my goal, I want to sand off the color, repaint it something pretty and try to sell it, or if it turns out horrendous, then give it away or throw it away, and that's what I was gonna do in the first place!"
Ok, first off, doesn't the fact that it belonged to your great grandma count as having sentimental value? In comparison, all my great grandparents were dead before I was born, as well as my dad's dad. Then my mom's dad died when I was seven. Yes, I get what you're saying (it's only twenty years old, probably bought at a friggin' K-Mart) and in that sense it does not hold a special place in Sattler (or whatever your mom's maiden name is) history. But YOUR kid doesn't need to know that. Think about it, if you give it to your kid then they will be receiving something that their great, great grandma owned. That's pretty neat, even if the actual story isn't as interesting. Great job with the making a gold frame a slightly shinier and more appealing gold frame!
Hehe, you're funny! However, there was a painted picture in the frame that my great grandma painted. I reframed it and it is hanging in my bedroom, that is something that I will hand down, I don't need to hand down the frame though. She didn't love it or anything, it's just a frame. Though the painting is very nice!
